Hiatus…

6 02 2010

SITTING AT PHOENIX SKY HARBOR AIRPORT at 11:10pm, waiting for a 12:50am flight to Atlanta and then Puerto Rico. The proverbial ‘red-eye’.

It will, of course, be two weeks of wonderful sun and water (we’re going to Viecques), but likely no piano. Which means likely no practice.

So, I’ll miss that, as things have been improving. But, the good news is that things really are improving and I shouldn’t slip too far, I don’t think. I’m sure I’ll have to run things over and over, and probably instigate another metronome session or two, but it won’t be like starting over, completely.

At least, I hope not.

MEANWHILE, I’LL HAVE to make do with tropical sun and Caribbean waters and tropical drinks (oh, sigh… another snorkel session, dear? Followed up with another rum and coke, perhaps?)

I can use the time to fill in some of the pages, which I’ve been lax in completing. Get in the list of pieces, with commentary on each. Talk more about pianos, history, dreams, all of that.

Maybe in the interludes I can scrounge up a church or school with a piano, for a slight practice session.
